David Seow is a well-known children’s book writer on the Singapore literary scene. He is the author of 43 well-received children’s books, including The Sam, Sebbie and Di-Di-Di & Xandy series. His book There’s Soup on My Fly was dramatized at the Asian Festival of Children’s Content in 2012. And in 2014, The Learning Connections staged it to a sold-out crowd at the Alliance Francaise.
In 2005, David was invited to sit on the judging panel of MDA’s inaugural First Time Writers and Illustrators Initiative. Since then he has also judged the Book Council’s Bilingual Project, and Marshall Cavendish’s 13th Budding Writers Project. In 2018, he was chief judge for the Hedwig Anuar Children’s Book Award. For the past seven years, David has served as a manuscript assessor for the National Arts Council. Two of David’s titles ‘A Day with the Duchess’ and ‘A Royal Adventure’ were featured in The Sunday Express, Hello! and the International Business Times. David has served on the executive committee of the National Book Development Council. His latest books are Race to Rio: Joseph Schooling goes for Olympic Gold and Storm over Typhoon Theatre.
