The Night of Legends
Keix wakes up in an underground prison-weak, emaciated, and battling partial memory loss. Her rescuers and long-time friends, Zej and Pod, tell her she’s been put in a coma for two years. Her captor: Atros, the organization she had joined as a trainee soldier since she was fourteen. Keix doesn’t want to believe them but the evidence just keeps stacking up. Vile beasts called Odats, engaged by Atros as mercenaries, attack her as she makes her escape from the prison. And she finds out that Atros is also keeping her best friend Vin locked up.
Keix’s ancestry (her father is a Kulcan, a fierce race of warriors) helps her regain her lost memories and strength quickly under her friends’ care. Soon, she gets handed proof that Atros is building a ghost army-the very enemies the organization has been tasked to protect the people from. To make matters even more complicated, Ifarls, a race with mysterious magical powers, try to influence her to attempt a dangerous mission to break Vin out. They also tell Keix they want to close the portal between the living and the dead, to end decades of misery that the underworld has brought.
Swept into the undercurrents of distrust and differing agendas between the races, will Keix, who considers herself as an outsider because of her mixed bloodline, be able to walk her own path?
Horrid High
If eleven-year-old Ferg Gottin had been bought from a store, his parents would have
returned him and demanded a refund. Because, you see, for the Gottins, parenting
is an experiment gone badly wrong. So when they find a school where you can
dump your kids and forget about them, they decide that Horrid High is the perfect
place for Ferg. But there’s nothing perfect about Horrid High—it’s quite unlike the
boarding schools Ferg has read about in storybooks. Ferg soon realizes that this isn’t
just a school for orphans, runaways and rejects. Horrid High is a training ground for
horrid teachers who are being sent out into the world to spread horridness! If that’s
not enough, Principal Perverse has a Grand Plan that he plans to reveal to every
horrid teacher everywhere. Ferg and his friends are the only hope that the children
of the world now have. Will they manage to save the day? Open the gates of Horrid
High and find out!
Archie’s Cloud: A book for angry little boys and girls
Archie is a struggling, hot-headed boy on a long, dull journey home. He’s carrying a mysterious bundle that he’d love to lose but can’t—when he tries to drop it, it squeals like a piglet and runs after him, bowling him over. Then Archie makes a choice that changes everything: with a surge of bravery, he enters a magical kingdom where four wise souls await him—a rhino, an owl, a donkey and a rabbit.
These new friends help Archie unpack his bundle and reflect on its contents. Each item (dice, cake, ball and headphones) represents a social ‘worry’ for Archie. By the journey’s end, Archie has fabulous new strategies for managing his stormy feelings, his bundle is empty and he skips home—light and free.

Monkey No 4
In Asian lore there are three famous monkeys. They’re the ‘see no evil’ monkey who covers his eyes, the ‘hear no evil’ monkey who covers his ears and the ‘speak no evil’ monkey who covers his mouth. These three monkeys are the ones we’ve all heard of, but they’re not the best monkey of all. The best monkey of all is the fourth monkey, because he’s the monkey who does no evil. ‘Monkey No. 4’ is his story of triumph in the jungle. And for all who read it, it’s a small lesson about good and evil in the jungle of life, and the wisdom to tell the difference between the two.

The Adventures of Mowgli
Rudyard Kipling’s eternal classics, The Jungle Book and The Second Jungle Book, are most loved for the stories of Mowgli, the boy who grew up in a wolf pack. This book brings together all the stories of
Mowgli. It begins with Father Wolf rescuing an abandoned baby boy from the tiger Shere Khan, terror of the jungle. The child grows up among the animals, befriending Bagheera the Panther, Baloo the Bear, and making mortal enemies with Shere Khan the Tiger. He is kidnapped by monkeys, exiled by the wolf pack, disowned by humans, till he finally vanquishes Shere Khan and returns to the forest. But the call of his own kind grows stronger, and he eventually finds his own, tenuous place among men and animals.
Kipling’s creations from the two Jungle Books-human and animal-have remained alive in literature and celluloid for nearly a century. They have mesmerized, entertained and educated generations of children. In this special edition, Mowgli comes alive once more, through an affectionate, heartwarming introduction by another favourite children’s writer, Ruskin Bond.
